ANNOUNCEMENT
When are the baptisms for 2026?
Pastor Bob Joyce has announced that Sunday, August 9, 2026, will be the annual designated Sunday for baptisms. Baptisms will take place after the sermon just a few miles away in a nearby creek. Pastor Bob Joyce baptizes by immersion in water based upon profession of faith in Jesus Christ and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Where will the baptisms take place?
Baptisms will be in Taylor Creek on Mulberry Road about 3-and-a-half miles southwest of Household of Faith Church at 8408 Samples Road. Leaving the church building, take a left (south) on Samples Road to the stop sign at Mulberry-Salem Road. Turn right (west) and follow Mulberry Road west for 3 miles. There are no buildings at the creek but the address is close to 3216 Mulberry Salem Rd, Benton, AR 72019. There is parking along Mulberry Road and a short walk down to the creek area. This is the same location as baptisms in the creek in 2025.
What should be planned for a baptism?
It is recommended that you bring a dry set of clothes, a towel (or several towels). It is also recommended that you have a dark shirt and dark shorts, longer pants, or jeans for the time in the water. Please do not wear skimpy clothing for baptism. Some type of footwear for the water would be good in case of rocks or anything sharp in the walking area. There is not a place to change clothes at the creek. Riverside Grocery is one mile west, at the intersection of Mulberry Road and Arkansas Highway 5, with restrooms available.
Is there a sign-up sheet?
There is not an early sign-up list or any kind of registration required. In the past, a sign-up sheet has not been needed. Everyone at the creek for baptism in past years was received.
